This is either a blanket or a rug, it is hand made on a loom. The fibers are wool I think and are short and soft. The sides of this are bound in grosgrain ribbing. There is one small hole in the grosgrain. The ends of this are machine stitched. This is flat weave and reversible. There is a small spot on one end that I did not try to clean. This looks like a snow flake pattern or a Star. This could be southwestern or from another country.
