I’m not sure what the purpose of this lovely piece was intended for but I’m guessing at a picnic rug. It belonged to my grandparents so will date to the 1930s I think. It’s never been used and I found carefully wrapped along with other vintage linens. I think it may be linen with coloured wool running through it but I’m not sure. Label says colourfast and made in Scotland. It measures 140cm x 135cm approximately. From a non smoking home.
