This is a vintage "All Wool Motor Robe" manufactured by the American Woolen Company. A motor robe is essentially a lap blanket or a throw blanket, historically used for warmth during travel in early automobiles or for activities like picnics. American Woolen Company was a major New England textile conglomerate established in 1899, known for its extensive mill operations. The company supplied a variety of wool products, including military blankets in later years. This is in very good condition for its age. There is one spot that seems to be a mended hole. The last 2 pics show it from both sides. There is very minor fraying at the edges and a few spots. I have not attempted to clean it. Measures approx 72" by 56" and weighs over 4 pounds
