This stunning, traditional Welsh Carthen was a winter wedding present, way back in 1966! It is woven in the traditional, graphic portcullis design, in burgundy, black, pale green and white, and is fully reversable. This huge blanket would cover a king size bed, and measures a whopping 234cm ( 7 feet 8”) or 90” long, by 200cm ( 6’ 7”) or 79” wide! There are 3 holes along the crease, and a small area where the blanket stitching is loose around the edge, as shown. Otherwise it’s in good condition. The blanket has been in storage and could use a dry clean or lengthy airing to remove the ‘old wool’ smell. Super festive and lovely and heavy, to bring some cottagecore hygge to any space! ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
